Visualization Engineering: Past Performance for Life Sciences and Healthcare

The complexity of a system that can process trillions of transactions a day cannot be overstated. Add the challenge of meeting consolidation and budget reduction goals by removing a legacy, integrated application from the enterprise without causing an operational impact or delay along the way. This is the definition of challenging. IT Cadre was tasked to provide visibility into the impacts of removing an application from one of the world’s largest supply chains. In order to pull out the legacy application a full understanding of all of its interfaces and impacts to the Supply Chain had to be identified. Although there were thousands of pages of highly technical documents at hand, no comprehensive end to end picture existed to make visible the impact of removing the application.

Current and Future State Diagrams

IT Cadre leverages the Current State Visualization to develop a Future State Visualization to meet the desired outcomes and goals for where you want to be. The Future State defines the new and improved end-to-end horizontal view inclusive of processes, systems, technology, data, interfaces, responsibilities and stakeholders which, upon implementation, enable the achievement of the goals and objectives of the organization and result in the desired outcomes.

Bringing Clarity To Complexity

IT Cadre’s Visualization Engineering® expertise has been successfully applied to enterprise service management, healthcare, migrations, supply chain management, cloud strategy and migrations, financial systems, eCommerce, customer communications and organizational transformation. In each engagement, IT Cadre has brought significant insight and clarity to all levels of the organization and helped our customer to achieve key objectives.  Our clients understand the importance of a unified vision. A small, upfront investment in creating a vision pays big dividends down the road on mission-critical projects.  Our approach improves relationships between organizations, encourages collaboration and feedback, and identifies and addresses issues before they become expensive and difficult to resolve.

The Cadre Report - Visualization in a Time of Budget Reduction

The complexity of a system that can process trillions of transactions a day cannot be overstated. Add the challenge of meeting consolidation and budget reduction goals by removing a legacy, integrated application from the enterprise without causing an operational impact or delay along the way. This is the definition of challenging.  IT Cadre was recently tasked to provide visibility into the impacts of removing an application from one of the world’s largest supply chains. In order to pull out the legacy application a full understanding of all of its interfaces and impacts to the Supply Chain had to be identified. Although there were thousands of pages of highly technical documents at hand, no comprehensive end to end picture existed to make visible the impact of removing the application.  Using their Methodology for Vision Achievement (MVA), IT Cadre provided a visualization of the end-to-end Supply Chain Management System. In 60 days, highly qualified systems engineers from IT Cadre dove in and mapped out every system, interface and connection across the enterprise. Once the full picture was complete, the impact of sunsetting the module was clearly seen.

FICO Optimization Solutions for Supply Chain

Optimizing supply chain strategies and network designs keeps getting harder, with persistent challenges from increasing customer demands, spiraling costs, disruptive competitors and multifaceted partnership and logistical options. These complexities are magnified by the maze of ERP, analytics, Excel, BI and other tools required to manage everything from vehicle routing and fuel use to resource allocation and workforce schedules. When fast and accurate decisions are needed, your supply chain can break down in a sea of stalled IT requests, complex spreadsheets and myriad manual decisions.

Thermosafe Industry Survey

During the spring and summer of 2014, Sonoco ThermoSafe sponsored and managed a 26-question survey aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of the rapidly evolving packaging and logistics markets for the transport of temperature sensitive products over the next 2 to 3 years. The survey was co-developed by an eight-member advisory panel of leading industry experts from pharmaceutical manufacturing, logistics companies, media partners, independent consultants and IQPC event managers.

The Official Benchmark: Strategies Driving Pharma Supply Chain Innovation

The importance of intelligent supply chain management has recently become a major focus for Pharma companies. Those businesses have been challenged by shifting regulatory compliance, emerging markets, item-level serialization, product diversification, and learning to use data to control costs and drive value. Creating Actionable Visibility to Drive Supply Chain Transformation

Pharmaceutical supply chains are becoming increasingly complex, forcing Pharma executives to juggle manufacturing and quality concerns, precise transportation requirements, and evolving regulatory requirements on a global scale and across many therapeutic areas. Anticipating, uncovering, and addressing supply chain disruptions has never been more challenging or morecritical.   In this paper, last year’s LogiPharma think tank participants share best practices and learnings based on their own company’s journeys to improve supply chain visibility and end- to-end collaboration.

Pharma Supply Chain Benchmarks

-->Download LogiPharma 2013 Benchmark Report The team behind Worldwide Business Research’s LogiPharma conference, with help from an advisory board of senior-level executives from international pharmaceutical companies, created a benchmarking questionnaire for LogiPharma’s 2012 audience of end-to-end supply chain executives. The survey was distributed at the Philadelphia conference, answered questions about supply chain integrity, increasing FDA regulations, sourcing with global partners, and more. The goal of the survey was to understand where bio-pharmaceutical executives stand on some of the biopharma logistics industry’s biggest issues and establish up-to-date supply chain benchmarks. The roles of those answering this questionnaire ranged from Director of Global Asset and Operations, to Executive Officer, to SVP of Global Supply Chain. Respondents represented companies like Novartis, Johnson & Johnson, Shire, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Merck and more. Click The Icon To The Left To Download The Benchmarking Report Now!
